Eighth place at stake. Carnicer Torrejon and Umacon Zaragoza open the first day of 2012 looking to the playoffs, and in more short term, to eighth place. Torrejon wants to get the three points to get ahead of its rival and end the day among the top finishers, aside from stopping a two-game losing streak.
On a different note comes Umacon Zaragoza, which has won its last two games, and gotten points in the last four. The men coached by Santi Herrero don´t want to lose their privileged position and aspire to get a wider margin to obtain fifth place, with the combination of the pertinent outcomes in the other games.
Equality is the leading note between the two teams. In Torrejon, both teams have met eight times in regular season with three wins for each and two draws, as in the first round of the championship, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Duel of figures
The Carnicer Torrejón - Umacon Zaragoza will face two players with big numbers. Rivillos is the top scorer of the competition with 18 goals, while Joan Linares on Friday will have reached the figure of 600 games in First Division.
